Die Begleitsoftware läuft auch mit fremden Controllern über MIDI-Learn. Geräte arbeiten ohne Konto und ohne Server.

Ein stabförmiger Bewegungscontroller: Man führt den Stab, und ein Filter fährt auf, ein Ton schwillt an, eine Sequenz wechselt. In die Standardlinie kommt nur, was vorgehalten und kurzfristig geliefert werden kann. Ausführungen auf Anfrage wandern in die Standardlinie, sobald ihre Fertigungszeit gemessen ist.
Only what can be kept in stock and delivered at short notice goes into the standard line. On-request versions move into it once their build time has been measured.
Dazu Begleitsoftware: Konfigurator (Belegung, Kurven, Gesten, Firmware, mehrere Geräte), Prüfstand und ein Werkzeug, das Bewegung in MIDI übersetzt und auf den Takt rastet. Sie läuft auch ohne DIRIGATE mit jedem MIDI-Controller.
Plus companion software: configurator (mapping, curves, gestures, firmware, multiple devices), test bench and a tool that turns motion into MIDI and snaps it to the beat. It also runs without DIRIGATE, with any MIDI controller.
Es existiert noch kein Gerät. DIRIGATE ist in der Prototyp-Vorbereitung. Festlegungen, Gehäusekonstruktion, Protokoll, Firmware-Bausteine, Konfigurator und Kundenunterlagen liegen vor.
Geprüft — übersetzt und mit Testfällen gelaufen: Protokollschicht, Gerätekennung, Schlagerkennung an künstlichen Schlagverläufen, Parametertabellen gegen die Gerätedefinition. Lauffähig, ohne Gerät nicht vollständig prüfbar: Konfigurator, Prüfstand, Begleitwerkzeuge. Entwurf: Teile der Firmware und das Plugin.
Messung ausstehend. Alles steht auf der Annahme, dass sich die Bewegungserfassung gut genug anfühlt — für Musik zuerst. Das entscheidet ein Funktionsmuster auf dem Steckbrett mit einer Zielübung. Fällt die Messung negativ aus, wird das hier so vermerkt.
No device exists yet. DIRIGATE is in prototype preparation. Specifications, enclosure design, protocol, firmware components, configurator and customer documents are in place.
Tested — compiled and run against test cases: protocol layer, device identity, stroke detection on synthetic stroke data, parameter tables against the device definition. Runs, but cannot be fully tested without a device: configurator, test bench, companion tools. Draft: parts of the firmware and the plugin.
Measurement pending. Everything rests on the assumption that the motion sensing feels good enough — for music first. A breadboard function sample with a target exercise decides this. If the measurement fails, it will be stated here.
DIRIGATE entsteht in Kooperation von Signal-Werk und Schicht-Werk. Schicht-Werk konstruiert und fertigt Gehäuse und Spitzen in Tulln an der Donau; Signal-Werk verantwortet Elektronik, Software, Montage, Prüfung und Vertrieb. Jedes Gerät wird einzeln gebaut — Griffgröße, Handseite und Oberfläche sind wählbar. Vorgesehen sind drei Wege: fertig aus der Standardlinie, nach Konfiguration gebaut oder als Bausatz.
DIRIGATE is a cooperation between Signal-Werk and Schicht-Werk. Schicht-Werk designs and makes the enclosures and tips in Tulln an der Donau; Signal-Werk is responsible for electronics, software, assembly, testing and sales. Every device is built individually — grip size, handedness and surface are selectable. Three routes are planned: ready-made from the standard line, built to configuration, or as a kit.
Ein Preisrahmen wird mit der Vorserie festgelegt.
